I'm working on writing some ideas and scripts for some music videos I am gonna film this summer so I can't wait for the summer to come and get working on these things.
1. Farewell Flight song (I wont say which yet) - Pretty interesting story I am working on it is going to incorporate stop motion animation as well as live action. I am trying to learn as much about stop motion right now as I can so once I get ready to shoot it will look great. If things go how I am picturing them this should come out really awesome as a great demo for my portfolio.
2. Mewithoutyou song (again the song is a surprise) - This is a video that Lydia (lessthantheleastblog.wordpress.com) is working on writing with me. Its another one that has a really good story and its a lot of outdoors shooting so I cant wait to get out there in the sun and work on this thing. Trying to find and think of some actors for this one. Need a girl for the main and have thought of a few people that would look good for it but not sure what we want yet.
3. The Glorious Unseen (have the song picked) - Have a few ideas written out for this one but I havent setled yet on one concrete idea yet but it will be pretty sweet either way.
These three will be great for my portfolio so I am very excited to make them.
And finally...
I am working on writting a short film also to be filmed this summer.
It will have to do with some ideas that sparked in my mind after reading a book I recently got so I am excited about this as well. I will have more details later on this one.
Working on some music for this film and also some music for my website I hope to record this summer as well.
Working on a website as well. (IT IS ALMOST DONE!) this is going to be the main place to show my work and get it out there.
Lots of stuff to do hopefully it all works out!
More details soon!

My Name Up In Lights
Today the second major album from The Secret Handshake was released. The Secret Handshake has a new album called My Name Up In Lights, that takes the sound of their last album and takes it to a whole new level. At first glance this record feels like a much happier collection of tunes then their last effort with One Full Year. The sound of lead singer and songwriter Louis Dubuc, seems to have matured greatly since the last album.

The new release from the band takes on a slightly different sound but this feels like a good thing. The album is very piano driven and incorporates lots of intricate synth lines and catchy lyrics. The style of singing feels less hip-hop influenced and more of its own style this time. The singer doesnt to over use Auto-Tune this time which is a good thing and gives his voice a natural feel. However, we do get those pleassent Auto-Tune vocals delocately and tastefully placed in some songs. The album seems to be alittle stripped down without too many different sounds going on and it is a good refreshing alternative. Furthermore, the album adds some little touches like guitar riffs and solos that make this album a must listen.
Overall this album is good for fans of bands such as The Rocket Summer and Forever the Sickest Kids. Some stand out tracks at first listen are "All For You" and "Saturday." Go check out this album if you are a fan or if you have never taken a listen it is a great new album from Louis and I'm sure i will be listening to it a lot.

Slum Hits The Shelves!
Today Slumdog Millionaire, the winner of Best Picture of the Year at The Academy Awards, comes to store shelves on DVD and Blu-Ray. The film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won 8 including Best Picture and Best Director. I have been very excited for the
release of this film since the day I saw it. However, don't think I am just one of those people that jumps on the bandwaggon of a film that got "popular" for its media attention. When i first heard of this film, I thought it looked pretty dumb and I was annoyed with the way the media was making this movie into a huge mega-film that couldn't be touched. Consequently, I avoided the film as much as possible and refused to see it. Eventually I was asked to watch the film with some friends and I had nothing better to do and I saw the film. Contrary to what I thought, the film actually held its own in what I would call a group of great memorable movies. Now I wouldn't say this film is the end all be all of films. However, the style in which the film is put together felt fresh and enjoyable. The editing and cinematography was a pleasure to watch and enjoy. I will most likely purchase Slumdog Millionaire soon. Here is the trailer, check it out!

New Apple Products Rumored. 3rd Gen Iphone? Netbook?
Many sources have started leaking hints of a "traditional update" to Apple's widely popular iPhone this summer in the middle of June. There are several rumors that this revision of the highly regarded smartphone, will add faster speeds up to 7.2mbps and a camcorder. Some developers have found hints of the camcorder feature in the beta of Apple's iPhone 3.0 software update. The hints show a way to publish videos directly to mobileMe or possibly YouTube. With the rumor of faster speeds arising from very credible sources like AT&T it will be interesting to see what new feature
s will be added to accompany the new speed. I will be following new updates on this story so hopefully there will be some more information soon on the new iPhone's features. Also, AT&T is rumored to be working on a new netbook deal with Apple. The netbook is rumored to come out sometime in summer and to be $99. The new netbook would be the first to run OSX and would most likely utilize AT&T's 3G network. Many mock up pictures (one pictured here) have been created of a rumored Apple netbook but this is the first real evidence of one coming out as Apple has always denied an interest in the netbook market. Several rumors have been heard that Apple has been purchasing touch-screens that are the size of a netbook screen. Apple has not commented on any of these products or released any information on them but we will see what happens. I hope if they release a netbook that they do it right and it is not another MacBook Air. Knowing Apple, it could be very stylish and sleek or it could end up not being as practical as we want. We shall see.Sunday, March 22, 2009
They're Back! TDWP!

The Devil Wears Prada is Releasing a new album! TDWP is getting geared up to release their 3rd full length album entitled With Roots Above & Branches Below. The record is set for release on May 5th 2009.I am very excited about this cd since for awhile they have been one of my favorite bands. They have recently posted a song from their new record on their myspace page, titled "Dez Moines." In my opinion, the new track sounds very similar to the band's previous Plagues album. However, the recording has improved greatly, atleast to my ears it has. Also, the group posted a blog saying that this song is their "safe" song and that the new record will sport a significantly heavier side, as well as much cachier side. It should be very interesting to see how that comes all together as one whole album. Perhaps, the album will have a similar feel as A Day To Remember's Homesick where some songs take the much "popier" sound, some take the "metalcore" sound, and some blend the two together.
Guess we shall see!
